The 554XT can simultaneously carry up to two surfboards right out of the box, no longer requiring the Thule 504 Surf Strap to transport the second board like the old Hang Two units. Secure as can be, but straps aren’t for the big boards
Was excited to get this as my crossbars are very close together and lateral stability was key. My board is 11′3″ L 29.5″ W and over 4″ thick.
